At 11am this morning in the two blocks of Westwood Blvd. in front of the Paris Bakery, where the Proust readers gather, we were greeted by preparations for the Iranian Happy New Year Extravaganza.
Most of the area for booths was still empty but YIKES the Iranian dance music was so Full Blast we couldn’t hear ourselves let alone one another, so we had to pass on our discussion of Reading Proust in Tehran.
