There were separate jumping off cliffs for hang-gliders and cliffs for the remote control planes. These guys were another story. They eagerly answered my questions and were utterly Fanatical about their planes.
This is a line-up for a race and despite the quiet there was plenty Plenty of ego invested in these bits of wood and plastic.
The whole Glideport is reserved for wind powered devices only, no combustion allowed. The planes were remote controlled though so there must be some concession to the concept of a totally wind powered operation.
