August 28

Angela came over and we moved stuff around between the two houses, garage, and studio, (like I’ve been doing for Months now) and then we went up to the park to catch some shots of the lawn bowlers. The lawn bowlers weren’t out but…

The wedding party came…

The wedding party came over to the park from the church by horse-drawn carriage with a row of classic tricked out cars in accompaniment. They were here for a photo-op and were then going on to Gardena for the reception.

Of course we got a card from these guys and we might just find D&A transported from wedding to reception by romantic horse-drawn carriage!

August 23

On Sunday, Merlyn and Hilda, recently returned from Spain, and ready to Cook. This meal was more delicious, more attractive, more entertaining, and more lovingly prepared than anything I ate last time I was in Spain. Really.

August 22

From Saturday – Happy Birthday Nancy! who treated her friends to a lovely evening out. Here’s a link to The LA Arboretum and you can click on The Festival On The Green to see what the program is all about.

The Arboretum has done this concert series every year for a while now and I’d expect we could look forward to a chance to enjoy such delightful entertainment again next year.

God Bless America. …

God Bless America. And the musician’s union that makes us do this before every public event…

The attendees, from Birthday Nancy clockwise around: Cousin Sharon, hidden in the red plaid is Work Friend Suzanne, really hidden next to Suzanne is Book Club Vicki, next is Sorority Sister Sandra, then My friend Nancy, and front and center is Knitting Pal Lisa.

Packing it away in…

Packing it away in preparation to bundle up and kick back and enjoy the show.

It seems impossible during the day when it is a billion degrees out there but it does cool down in the evening so be sure to bring socks or slippers, cozy sweaters and shawls and scarves, and remember that the ground gets wet so bring sand chairs or a plastic tarp for under your blanket.

And a grand time was had by all!

Before Nancy’s birthday party…

Before Nancy’s birthday party Lucas and Betsy had the previously scheduled baby shower for the now already born and beautiful Anya King. She is exceptionally beautiful, don’t you think. Actually, it’s obvious on the face of it that she is exceptionally beautiful, and so advanced for her age.

Angela held the baby And did the list while Betsy opened the gifts. Too cute or what!?! Cynthia took the picture.

‘Mom, pleeeeze will you…

‘Mom, pleeeeze will you Stop it with the pictures…’

Actually I should write Maa-um, as it is spoken in that special way so that, you know how it is, that you can turn Mom into a two syllable word… But just look how adorable they are!
