’26 Oct: Christa And Zack Get Married

Here Comes The Bride

Trevor, Christa, Beth

There were three parts to this wedding weekend. Friday=an evening picnic in the park for out-of-towners. Saturday=the wedding and reception. Sunday=an open house at Zack and Christa’s new home.

Friday, an evening picnic in the park for out-of-towners. There was a large crowd, this is a sample of the guests.

Saturday, Rome and I took a run back to Sonoma State, some getting ready shots, the wedding, and the reception.

Awww, me, Rome, Windy. We have a lot of shots with Lona too but I didn’t find a good one. I’ll have to look harder!

Windy took the picture and Anya hadn’t made it yet but we do have Betsy, Lucas, Travis, Jack, Andre, Cali, Rome, me.

Oh my goodness, look at that dress. I only regret not having a picture of the stunning back. They did have two very fully equipped professional photographers for the entire event so I’m sure one will show up somewhere.

I think there were eight bridesmaids and eight groomsmen (maybe nine?) all looking gorgeous of course.

Rome took this picture of the table. There were so many treats throughout the events, and as a sample on the table we find pictures of Zack and Christa when they were six years old because we were at table six. Each table had the wedding couple at the appropriate age, which was so clever. Everyone got a magnet, and the guest cards had a little picture of their dinner order.

My highlight of the entire weekend was The First Dance. Zack and Christa could go into competition with that dance!

Windy’s sons! Travis and Lucas.

These were Windy’s flower girls, all grown up! Anya, Cali, Charis (and William), Rome. Windy took the photo.

Sunday, an open house at Zack and Christa’s new home.

ohhhh so many delicious persimmons. The tree belongs to the next door neighbor but they have permission to take all the ones on their side. If my tree got even half this full I’d be so happy.

There were always a lot of kids around and Rome was having the best time.

Some Fun Before The Wedding

A little out of order, here’s our visit to the California State Railroad Museum. Above is me and Rome with one of the many real train engines on view, and they also have train cars of all age and variety. Below is the rest of the gang – me, Windy, Jack, Rome, Andre, Cali, Travis.

Windy and I spent the night at Harris Ranch on the way up to Sacramento. It’s always a nice break but I might have to re-evaluate the dining experience. The main restaurant is closed on Wednesdays and it felt like they made everything we ate the day before and just kept it in the fridge for a microwave warm-up.

Before we went to the Railroad Museum we had lunch and took a stroll around the Old Sacramento Waterfront.

We ate at Fanny Ann’s Saloon.

Fanny Ann’s Saloon was a crazy place, tasty and fun.

Harris Ranch was Wednesday night. This meal below came on Thursday night, and the rest of the events are from Friday.
