B Furnished

This is a very small studio, part of a triplex of buildings situated in a large and lovely quiet garden with everything you might need right at hand.

Please carefully check the furnishings in the pictures with your needs in mind. You’ll want to be sure you are up for such a small place before making an appointment to see the studio.

There are two sets of furnishings in the pictures below, one set using a daybed and another with a queen bed.

Also please check the map for the area around 1231 22nd Street in Santa Monica to see if it fits your needs.

WALK to Whole Foods one-half block away and the new Trader Joe’s one block away will open soon. There are dozens of restaurants and every domestic need is here, walk 2 minutes to the perfect bus stops on Wilshire and Santa Monica taking you directly to UCLA and all parts N-S-E-W. It’s 22 blocks to the beach – a 30 minute stroll or an easy bus ride. You can even live here happily and fully without a car. Weird I know!

Here’s the front door entrance, there’s a high-end two burner stove set in the corner and place for a counter-top oven.

There’s a huge amount of counter and storage for a small studio and a very good sized double sink too. The small refrigerator/freezer is on the right.

Looking from the kitchen back to the front door. There’s room for the small table under the window or more storage. There’s room for a small chest beside the counter.

The tall storage cabinet can stay because it’s perfect there in front of the bathroom door.

So much light.

There’s that little fridge and a view of the sink. I have a nice cutting board that covers half the sink to extend the counter workspace when you need it.

Alex has been moving us both forward in our journey to d.o.n.e.ville with the house.

I ‘created’ the color for the kitchen today and got the paint guys to mix up a gallon. Me and the guys at the paint store have a relationship now.

I bought sample after sample and in the end not one of the colors I’ve used has been off-the-shelf. It’s been really fun, although also time consuming and a little nerve racking since ANYTHING is possible. I will miss the guys at the paint store.

I also tidied up each room in my place, one by one, moving armloads of things from place to place (and I’m going to have to photoshop out those cords under the table because I’m not moving all that stuff again!)…

…and this is the comfy chair.

…and looking down at the closet. So much storage in the chest.

The picture makes this look like there’s a distorted amount floor, but it’s true, it’s airy and those hardwood floors are gorgeous.

And there’s room for even more storage.

And there are a ton more – I’m ready to list it as soon as I can predict when it will be possible to live in the house even without a kitchen…or window coverings…or a bed.

My new tenant moved in today and she’s happy which makes me happy so All Good! So long 280 square feet with the handsome floors, you’ve been a good companion.

The last tenant was in the middle of moving out.

She had a small table and stools in the kitchen which made the main room feel more like a bedroom and less like a studio.
